Kathmandu: What to see in 3 days
Kali and Juan’s around the world trip: First stop Kathmandu – Nepal. We arrived in Kathmandu just after dawn on a Qatar Airways flight that had connected straight through from our local airport in Alicante (Spain), via Madrid and Doha.
There’s a lot to see in Kathmandu in 3 days. Start off with a walk through Thamel district to famous World Heritage Site Kathmandu Durbar Square.

I didn’t realize how excited I would be to get up at 4am! I threw some warm clothes on and my hiking boots, and set off up the steep path to see the sunrise from Poon Hill in the heart of the Himalayan foothills.
